Rotary GB&I is a pilot for the wider Rotary world and in this context has opportunity to explore new ways of expanding our reach and importantly enhancing participation.

Putting each member at the centre of our thinking is critical to achieving our collective objectives of retaining existing members, attracting new people and importantly supporting our members in meeting the needs of others through local and international service.

Today’s world is underpinned with digital technology and Rotary GB&I is adapting its member systems to support Rotary Member Services. Over the past 18 months, development and deployment of the new Rotary View system has been taking place with ongoing work to bring all member systems together to ultimately provide you with mobile and browser-based services.

The concept is a one-stop-shop where once logged in you can view and update your own record, access general member resources, find other members to exchange ideas and plan projects, and sign-up to projects across the region that are run by Rotary members for the benefit of others no matter the cause. Additionally, the systems will support updates for Club Officers, enable search and email across the region*, provide for club and district handbooks along with member-to-member* chat facilities.

For some members it is understood that digital systems may not be desired as part of their Rotary experience but for more and more the expectation is to have access to a “Rotary in your pocket” service – a member experience accessible 24/7, on the move, meeting the needs of busy people doing great service as has been Rotary Member Objective for over ten decades.
